Every fixture cleared, without damaging your pipes.
Drain Unclogging for Santa Clarita Homes
Most homeowners try a few things before calling a plumber, and sometimes that’s enough. When it isn’t, the clog is usually deeper in the line, packed tighter, or made of something a plunger can’t budge.
Rowland Plumbing, Cooling, Heating & Electrical unclogs drains throughout the Santa Clarita Valley and nearby communities. Our plumbers arrive with the right equipment for your pipe type, and you’ll get one price for the whole job before any work begins.

We Can Fix Every Drain in the House
The Drains Our Plumbers Unclog Most
Any drain in your home can clog, and small clogs tend to grow into big ones if they’re left alone. Staying ahead of slow drains helps you avoid the kind of backup that damages cabinets and floors.
The drains we unclog most often include:
What to Try Before You Call
A few simple steps can clear a minor clog. Skip the chemical drain cleaners, though. They can damage pipes, especially older ones, and they often leave the clog partly in place.
Here's what's worth trying:
- Run hot water. For a sink that's draining slowly, run the hottest tap water you have for several minutes. Avoid pouring boiling water into PVC pipes or a toilet, since it can soften joints and crack porcelain.
- Try baking soda and vinegar. Pour half a cup of baking soda into the drain, follow it with half a cup of white vinegar, and cover the opening for about 30 minutes. Then flush it with hot tap water. This works best on light buildup, not a solid blockage.
- Use the right plunger. A flat cup plunger works best on sinks and tubs, and a flange plunger works best on toilets. Make sure there's enough water to cover the cup, plug the overflow opening on sinks and tubs, and give it 15 to 20 firm strokes.
- Pull hair from the drain opening. Most bathroom sink and tub clogs sit just below the stopper. Remove the stopper and pull out what you can with a plastic drain-cleaning strip, which costs a few dollars at any hardware store.
If the drain is still clogged after that, or several drains are slow at once, it’s time to call us. Pushing harder with a hardware store snake can pack the clog in tighter or scratch the fixture.
Why It Pays to Call a Plumber
A plumber doesn't just remove the clog. They figure out why it formed. Our technicians match the method to your pipe material, clear the line without damaging it, and check for problems like buildup, root intrusion, or a sagging pipe that could cause the next backup. You'll also get practical advice for keeping that drain clear, so the fix lasts longer than a weekend.
