Some electrical problems need attention right away. If you notice any of these, stop using the affected outlet or circuit and call us:

Others are easier to put off, but they’re still signs that something needs a closer look:

Local Homes, Local Know-How

What Decades in the Valley Have Taught Us About Electrical

Summer Heat Tests Every Circuit

In the middle of a Santa Clarita summer, the AC runs for hours, the pool pump cycles all day, and every fan in the house is on. That's when weak connections, undersized circuits, and aging breakers show up. Many of the electrical calls we get trace back to a system that holds up fine in spring and starts struggling in July.

New Equipment Brings New Load

EV chargers, induction ranges, heat pumps, and spas all draw more power than the appliances many homes were originally wired for. Before adding any of them, we check whether your panel and circuits can handle the extra load. That way, you find out about a needed upgrade before the install instead of after.

The Rowland Difference

Why Homeowners Choose Rowland for Electrical Work

One Price, Set Before We Start

Electrical work is priced by the job, not the hour. If we open a wall or panel and the work takes longer than expected, that's on us. Your price doesn't change.

We Look at the Whole Load

Adding a circuit, a charger, or new lighting to a panel that's already stretched thin causes problems down the road. We look at what the panel can handle before recommending anything, EV chargers included.

The Same Standard Across Every Trade

Every Rowland technician is background-checked, drug-tested, and trains weekly. The electrician working in your panel meets the same standard as the plumber under your sink or the tech servicing your AC.

Four Trades Under One Roof

A new AC may need a dedicated circuit. A water heater swap may turn up a wiring problem. Because we handle plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical, one company can take care of the whole job instead of you coordinating several contractors.

Electrical FAQs

Electrical Questions From Santa Clarita Homeowners

How much does electrical work cost?

It depends on the job. Replacing an outlet and upgrading a panel are very different projects. The $89 dispatch fee covers the diagnosis and is credited toward the work if you go ahead. After that, you get one price for the whole job, and that price holds no matter what we find once the work starts.

Simple tasks like changing a light bulb or resetting a tripped breaker are fine. Anything involving wiring, outlets, switches, or the panel is safer left to a licensed electrician. Mistakes can cause shocks or fires, and unpermitted work can create problems with insurance and home sales.

Yes. Because we install HVAC systems and water heaters too, our team can run a new dedicated circuit, replace a disconnect, or upgrade the panel as part of the same project. You get one schedule and one price instead of coordinating two contractors.

Yes. We install Level 2 home chargers, along with any panel or circuit work needed to support them. Learn more about our EV charger installation service.

Yes. Every Rowland electrician is licensed and insured, and they go through the same background checks and drug testing as our plumbers and HVAC technicians before working in anyone's home.

Stop using the outlet, and turn off its breaker if you can reach the panel safely. If you see smoke or flames, get out and call 911. Otherwise, call us. Our phones are answered 24/7, and during business hours, we can usually have an electrician at your door within about an hour.

Power You Can Count On

Let's Get Your Home's Ducks in a Row

A flickering light or a breaker that trips now and then is easy to ignore. It’s also usually the first sign of a bigger problem, and catching it early keeps the fix small.

Tell us what’s going on with your electrical, and we’ll send a licensed electrician to take a look.
